Price Land Development Group Appoints New Vice President of Development

Seasoned leader and New Mexico native Matthew Dyer brings 15 years of industry experience

Price Land Development Group (Price), a consultancy and development company specializing in acquisition, entitlement and development of residential communities and residential/mixed-use master plans in New Mexico, recently welcomed Matthew Dyer as the company’s vice president of development.

Dyer will play a critical role in working with the other executive team members at Price on project due diligence, establishing feasibility budgets and overseeing all aspects of land development from pre-construction planning through completion of a project. Dyer will also be responsible for maintaining and growing Price’s subcontractor relationships in order to meet the needs of Price’s land acquisition strategy and growing their fee developer business model established under Price Construction Services.

Dyer has 15 years of experience in the home construction, utility construction, and land development industries. Most recently, Dyer served as the president/CEO of BlackRock Services, a locally owned asphalt and aggregate company. He also previously held positions as senior project manager and general manager at Salls Brothers Construction, where he worked closely with Price Land Development Group in constructing residential communities including Entrada at High Range, Aspire, Colibri, and The Trails.

“We’re thrilled Matt has joined Price Land Development Group, bringing his vast experience to support our growth efforts in New Mexico,” said Garret Price, president of Price Land Development Group. “Matt has been an incredible partner and a highly dynamic leader with a keen passion for land development.”

Early in his career, Dyer spent time at Pulte Homes. It was there he was recognized as the highest producing field manager in the New Mexico division, closing 200+ homes in the Loma Colorado Community and was eventually promoted to the land development superintendent.

Dyer’s experience also includes constructing and developing more than 2,500 residential lots in New Mexico. Dyer has managed projects and worked collectively with subcontractors and trade partners to deliver quality results for many highly regarded projects in the community.

“With this new addition to our leadership team, we can continue to expand our services and partnerships, addressing the ongoing housing crisis in New Mexico by preparing 2,000 additional residential lots across the market over the next five years,” Price explained.

Since May 2017, Price has contributed significantly to healthy economic growth in the area while preserving the unmatched beauty of New Mexico. Additionally, in its seven-year history, Price has developed 70 acres of parks, trails and open space in the communities of Colibri, Seasons at Monarch, Aspire, Trails, Los Diamantes, Jemez Vista, Bedrock and High Range. These communities feature desirable amenities including neighborhood parks, picnic ramadas, basketball courts and dog parks.
