Garret Price is the president of Price Land & Development Group; a consultancy and development company specializing in acquisition, entitlement and development of residential communities and residential / mixed-use master plans. Prior to forming Price Land & Development Group in May 2017, Garret spent the previous 14 years as Vice President of PulteGroup’s land operations and was responsible for growing the New Mexico Division’s market share and profitability for their Centex, Pulte and Del Webb brands by utilizing aggressive growth through market and consumer segmentation.
Garret was the team leader behind three of the top performing master plan communities in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe metropolitan areas over the last decade with respect to consumer acceptance, absorption, and financial performance, including: Rio Rancho’s Loma Colorado master plan community, a 440-acre mixed use community consisting of 1,000 residential lots and 84 acres of commercial, Albuquerque’s Mirehaven master plan community, a 284-acre multigenerational community consisting of 350 Pulte residential lots and featuring the state’s first Del Webb, consisting of 600 residential lots and a 10,000 sq. ft. amenity center and most recently, City of Santa Fe’s Las Soleras master plan community, a 104 acre residential community within the 550 acre master plan consisting of 300 residential lots. Both Mirehaven and Loma Colorado projects were recognized by their peers and residential community with NAIOP Awards of Excellence.
Garret has over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial development. He began his career in commercial development for a regional firm based in Scottsdale Arizona specializing in “design/build” contracts. Mr. Price has over 18 years’ experience in residential acquisition, entitlement and development in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe MSA’s. He has developed pro-formas and managed budgets totaling more than $1 billion dollars and has lead the acquisition, entitlement, and development of more than 12,000 lots.
As a native of New Mexico, Garret is proud to be involved in several local organizations including his previous role as an Executive Board Member on Rio Rancho’s Economic Development Corporation, a 2008 graduate of Leadership New Mexico, 2011 President of the Homebuilders Association of Central New Mexico (HBACNM) and 2015 inductee into HBACNM’s Builder Hall of Fame.
